Glad you asked about liquor, not being a beer drinker but instead a whiskey drinker I still have a lot of friends that love beer and going to some great brewpubs. The atmosphere of many can be fabulous!
I think that’s an important element as well. I didn’t drink beer until I was 24 and wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much without that key aspect.
